Welcome your guests with sparkling drinks in the grandeur of the Crush Hall then move across the beautiful main hallway to the Vesey Ballroom for your ceremony.  The adjoining Lounge Suite is the perfect setting for your guests to join you for your memorable wedding breakfast

We are approved to function as a venue for the solemnisation and registration of Civil Marriages and Partnerships and are therefore delighted to offer our facilities for such ceremonies. Whether you wish to hold your ceremony at the Town Hall or rather opt to get married in an alternative venue, we can host your wedding breakfast and/or reception also!

We offer specially selected menus to suit all tastes, including a variety of specialist wine and champagnes on top of catering for bespoke packages to make your day, just that.  We can also supply a quotation for self-catered events. Extras include our resident DJ, table and chair dressing service, photographer, licenced bar, silver service and Master of Ceremonies.

Theatre Hire

Did you know, you can hire Sutton Coldfield Town Hall for your show or event? With a maximum capacity of 427 and recently upgraded technical facilities, from awards ceremonies with that added touch of glamour to large scale touring shows, our stage’s versatility means we can adapt to all kinds of requirements!

We are the proud home of a number of brilliant amateur dramatic societies in the West Midlands including the home of our recently co-founded youth theatre!

Four function rooms of various sizes, allow us to accommodate any type of business event; from large scale conferences to smaller meetings, from training courses to work office parties (see “Private Hire” tab for more information)

We can offer additional staging, two high specification sound systems, projectors and projector screens and two licenced bars to offer refreshments for your event.

To date, we have housed: Business Launches, Talks, Team Building Days, Conferences, Training Courses, Coffee Mornings & Networking Events

Our Vesey Suite (Ballroom and Lounge) is able to hold up to 400 people. Conversely, our Bedford Suite and Crush Hall have capacities of up to 60 people. *

Seating arrangements tend to include, though are by no means limited to; classroom style, theatre style and cabaret.

Fayres and Exhibitions

Our staff also have significant experience in coordinating larger scale dos such as fayres, exhibitions and conventions. With the four function rooms on offer, we can cater for any scale of event. We also have an extensive number of highly recommended suppliers – from entertainers and room dressers – should you require an additional help with your function.

We have accommodated, over the years, a significant number of incredibly different events. Such as, Wedding Fayres, Gin Jamborees, Miniature Dolls Fair, Sutton Coldfield Society of Artists, Sculpture Exhibits, British Iron Works Museum (Art Exhibition), Auctioneers, Recruitment Fairs, Fetes, Charity Balls and are the proud home of the acclaimed Sutton Vintage and Arts Fair.

Whatever it is you have in mind; our staff have a wealth of experience in orchestrating a whole host of events. Moreover, given the versatile nature of our venue, we are able to adapt to whatever it is you should require.

Dance Events

Sutton Coldfield Town Hall boasts the largest, traditional ballrooms in the whole of the North of Birmingham. Across its increasingly popular Vesey Suite, the Town Hall can comfortably accommodate up to 300-500 people depending on the layout.

The nature of the Suite, as something of a blank slate, allows hirers the freedom to style their event however they wish to ensure it truly will be wholly unique and unquestionably one to remember.

The staff at the Town Hall will be on hand with approved suppliers (room decorators, DJs) and of course any other relevant recommendations should you require a helping hand.

Whether your event is private or public, we would love to have you at Sutton Coldfield Town Hall. For public bookings, we also have our own ticketing facility for ticketing your show or event. With low process charges, it is the ideal way to sell your tickets and includes free advertising and publicity on our social media pages and website.  We provide event statements, voucher code options and can cater for assigned or unassigned seating preferences, cabaret style or traditional theatre layout.

School Hire

The school calendar is a revolving door of activity and sometimes it can be hard to fit every event into the building at any one time and this is but one of the ways in which we believe we can help. We offer a venue for; school productions, talent shows, extracurricular and regular school clubs, Prize Givings and/or award ceremonies and more recently, exam sittings. It may not even be the case that, as a school, space to utilise is limited. Perhaps instead, it is a matter of wanting to host an important evening or function in a grander setting, giving the occasion that extra touch of glamour and charm.

Private Hire

Why not choose Sutton Coldfield Town Hall as a place to host your party? With four function rooms to choose from, we are able to accommodate smaller, more intimate affairs all the way to the other extreme of those larger scale, grandiose celebrations!

We have two fully licenced bars as well as a number of bespoke catering packages*. Add to this a list of tried and trusted DJs, caterers and room dressers, everything you could possibly need, we have in abundance here at Sutton Coldfield Town Hall!
