“A friendly, fun festival for children who love stories.”

We are delighted to be hosting Sutton Coldfield BookFest 2020 which is brought to you courtesy of registered charities Bournville BookFest and FOLIO Sutton Coldfield.

There will be 2 main stages to the BookFest with the day split between Sutton Coldfield Town Hall and Sutton Coldfield Library. For a What’s On Day Guide, see HERE

On at the Town Hall: We are super excited to be hosting the legendary author-illustrator duo, Jacqueline Wilson and Nick Sharratt.

“Jacqueline and Nick have created more than 50 books together selling 40 million copies around the world. And they’re coming to Sutton Coldfield BookFest!

Find out how brilliant ideas are turned into books and learn how to draw some favourite characters – including Tracy Beaker and her daughter Jess – at this unmissable BookFest highlight.

This show will be sign language interpreted.

Signing will take place after the show in the lounge, but please note that Jacqueline Wilson will not be physically signing books due to a wrist injury.

Remember: Just like going to the cinema or theatre, all children need to be accompanied at BookFest events, so adults need to buy seats too.”

Additional: This event couldn’t happen without funding from Peddimore Community Fund, which is administered by Heart of England Community Foundation.

We are also very grateful to our wonderful supporters at Sutton Coldfield BID who have funded our use of Sutton Coldfield Town Hall as a new venue for 2020, alongside Sutton Coldfield Library.
