Saturday Evening Show
Rising Birmingham vocalist Louis Connor brings together a stellar line-up of jazz musicians for an evening celebrating soul, jazz and timeless song writing.
Sit back and enjoy a night of extraordinary talent:
With smooth, soulful vocals and a repertoire spanning generations, Louis Connor and his band will perform their own interpretations of classics from artists including Stevie Wonder, Gregory Porter, Nat King Cole, Sam Cooke, Carole King and The Beatles. Louis has previously performed at Sutton Coldfield Town Hall, where his soulful sound and engaging performances proved a hit with audiences.
Line-up: Louis Connor (vocals), Tom Morgan (guitar), Matt Ratcliffe (piano), Tom Clarke-Hill (double bass), and Andrew ‘Woody’ Wood (drums).
Expect an unforgettable evening of live jazz, soul and classic songs, reimagined by an exceptional group of musicians.
I’d also definitely keep the “previously performed here” angle because you have those photos, you could do a little social post/reel saying “You loved him last time… Louis Connor is BACK!” and use the old photos alongside new promo. That gives you a nice bit of familiarity + FOMO rather than making it feel like a completely new artist.
Tickets for the Saturday Evening Show are £10 for adults and £5 Under 16s
Sutton Coldfield's first ever Literary Arts Festival is here — and it's bringing the written and spoken word to life like never before.
Over one weekend, Sutton Coldfield Town Hall will be filled with the voices of poets, authors, storytellers and creative minds — many of them right here from our local community. Whether you're a lifelong bookworm, an aspiring writer, or simply curious, there's something to spark your imagination.
Explore a packed programme of:
Readings — hear words leapt from the page as local and visiting poets and authors share their work in readings that are intimate, inspiring and not to be missed.
Workshops — get hands-on with your own creativity in sessions led by experienced writers and artists. Whether you write for pleasure or have never put pen to paper, all are welcome.
Performances — experience the spoken word in its most powerful form, with live performances that celebrate the art of language, storytelling and expression.
From children's writers sparking young imaginations to poets giving voice to our shared experiences — this is a festival for everyone.
ENTRY IS FREE DURING THE SATURDAY & SUNDAY DAY
