This festive season enjoy cherished carols with a Celtic twist – sung by opera singer Caitlin Downie accompanied by a fantastic traditional band.
Having both an Irish and Scottish heritage, Downie created the show to celebrate authentic Celtic music. It features instruments used in years gone by including the bouzouki, bodhran, low whistle and Uilleann pipes.
A Celtic Christmas will enchant you with powerful melodies, haunting instruments and bewitching harmonies.
Featuring beloved songs such as Joy to the World, The Holly and the Ivy and We Three Kings, this is Christmas music entwined with ancient festive folk tunes. These songs have been passed from generation to generation and sung every year at this festive time, promising glad tidings for the year ahead. Performed by candlelight, A Celtic Christmas is a bewitching offering for the whole family that is guaranteed to put you in a festive mood.
