Step into the groove with The Jazz Funk Machine as Californian bassist Tom Hill, acclaimed UK saxophonist Andy Shillingford, local jazz guitarist Tom Morgan, drummer Carl Hemmingsley, and pianist Arran Shanghavi celebrate the golden era of 1970s jazz-funk alongside the vibrant sound of modern jazz fusion.
Featuring music by Herbie Hancock, George Duke, Grover Washington Jr., Weather Report, Dave Sanborn, and The Crusaders, this high-energy performance pays tribute to some of the genre's most influential artists with style, passion, and exceptional musicianship.
With guitar, bass, piano, saxophone, and drums all taking centre stage, the quintet draws on decades of experience at the forefront of the UK jazz scene. Expect infectious grooves, soulful melodies, dazzling improvisation, and irresistible rhythms in a feel-good show that will have audiences tapping their feet from the very first note.
