Sutton Coldfield's first ever Literary Arts Festival is here — and it's bringing the written and spoken word to life like never before.

Over one weekend, Sutton Coldfield Town Hall will be filled with the voices of poets, authors, storytellers and creative minds — many of them right here from our local community. Whether you're a lifelong bookworm, an aspiring writer, or simply curious, there's something to spark your imagination.

Explore a packed programme of:

Readings — hear words leapt from the page as local and visiting poets and authors share their work in readings that are intimate, inspiring and not to be missed.

Workshops — get hands-on with your own creativity in sessions led by experienced writers and artists. Whether you write for pleasure or have never put pen to paper, all are welcome.

Performances — experience the spoken word in its most powerful form, with live performances that celebrate the art of language, storytelling and expression.

From children's writers sparking young imaginations to poets giving voice to our shared experiences — this is a festival for everyone.

ENTRY IS FREE DURING THE SATURDAY & SUNDAY DAY

Saturday Evening Show

As part of our inaugural Literary Arts Festival — Exploring Words, Creativity and Community — Sutton Coldfield Town Hall is proud to present a spectacular Evening Show, bringing together some of the most vibrant voices and performers our community has to offer.

Sit back and enjoy a night of extraordinary talent:

David Lowe - the acclaimed composer behind some of British television's most beloved theme tunes, bringing his signature sound to our stage for one unforgettable night.

Ramesh Alexander - the celebrated singer joined by the energy and colour of bhangra dance, in a performance that fuses voice, movement and culture in style.

Live Jazz Quartet - a smoky, soulful set to round off the evening in true style, with live jazz that promises to linger long after the last note fades.

Tickets for the Saturday Evening Show are £10 for adults and free to under 16s.
