Friends of the Town Hall: 2025 Pantomime VIP Night

On Thursday 11th December, we welcomed Town Hall friends, stakeholders, partners and trustees to our Pantomime VIP Night. Former mayor of the West Midlands Combined Authority Andy Street, Sutton Coldfield MP Andrew Mitchell and our wonderful team celebrated a year of the Town Hall's wonderful work and enjoyed this year’s pantomime, ‘Beauty and the Beast’.

As a charity-run venue, it is incredible to see so much support for our work in becoming a community arts hub. Jordan Financial Management kindly sponsored the evening. We are extremely grateful for all who support us, whether that be by donating to us, working with us, or enjoying our wonderful shows and events. We are excited to end this year with announcement of our new Membership scheme, inviting individuals to ‘Become a Town Hall Member’.

Claire Bridges, the Chair of Sutton Coldfield Town Hall Trust, announced our new membership scheme, aimed at involving individuals and businesses in preserving the future of our work. Claire noted that the charity run venue shows an “enduring theme that the Sutton Coldfield Town Hall Community Trust is working with a wide range of partners, existing and new, to create a major arts centre for the town.”

Rt Hon Sir Andrew Mitchell said: “As the Town Hall’s President as well as their MP, it is with pride and pleasure that I say our Town Hall is seriously ‘on the up’. The scaffolding and external works and the very fine new roof - all speak of a joyful new era for the Town Hall as a culture and arts centre of far more than local significance. I thank the Royal Sutton Town Council and the Sutton Charitable Trust for their brilliant support and the Town hall trustees and staff for their hard work, vision and dedication.”

Our wonderful pantomime partners, Talegate Theatre, are now mid-run with their unforgettable production of 'Beauty and the Beast' and tickets are still available for those wanting to join us for some festive fun.

We’re already looking ahead to next year’s pantomime, Cinderella, and can’t wait to welcome audiences back for another magical Christmas.
