Where Soul Meets Jazz - The Tom Morgan Trio feat. Matt Ratcliffe

This month Tom Morgan brings his 'Organ Trio' to the Town Hall and features renowned pianist and musician Matt Ratcliffe.  This type of ensemble typically consists of a Hammond Organ player, a Jazz Guitarist and a Drummer. It was popular in the 1950s and 1960s and was well known for its blues-based jazz combined with R&B elements.

The sounds of some of the great jazz guitarists such as Joe Pass, Kenny Burrell and George Benson can be heard within Morgan's smooth playing style and his performance is enhanced by a band of the finest calibre.
