Rough, tough and always rocking, the legendary King Pleasure and The Biscuit Boys’ zany stage show sometimes belies the fact that here is the finest, most authentic rhythm & blues band ever to come from outside the USA.
As who has followed their astonishing career knows, the band carries a guarantee of great swinging music and high entertainment value.

The band is stacked with British Jazz Award Winners, all supremely talented big hitters on the UK Jazz Scene.

Posting Letters To The Moon (2nd October 2025)
With Lucy Fleming and Simon Williams
A romantic, funny and very touching portrait of life during the second World War featuring readings of letters between Oscar-nominated actress Celia Johnson (Brief Encounter) and her explorer and writer husband Peter Fleming (brother of James Bond creator Ian Fleming) posted to India and the Far East during the war working for Military Intelligence.
The event will be made even more poignant with a viewing of the ‘Brief Encounter Film’ following the talk at 4.45pm

Where Soul Meets Jazz - Spotlight Beebe, featuring Matt Ratcliffe & Guests
Chris ‘Beebe’ Aldridge is regarded as one of the UK’s finest saxophonists. He has toured with Gary Barlow, Ben E King, Tony Christie, Bizarre Inc, Roy Wood, Geno Washington, Jaki Graham, Marti Pellow, Liam Payne, The Contours, Kiki Dee, Climax Blues Band amongst others, and has appeared with jazz icons such as Pee Wee Ellis, Bud Shank, Gerard Presencer, John Dankworth and Victor Mendoza. He has also recorded alongside jazz artists such as Billy Cobham, Bob Mintzer, Bob James, Gary Husband and Martin Taylor. Beebe was featured on the DJ Spoony show on Radio One, where he taught him saxophone live on air to perform at a Craig David concert.

Sutton Coldfield Town Hall presents a new monthly program of Live Jazz, fresh for 2025.
The upcoming shows will feature some of the finest musicians from across the country.
Kicking off their first edition in style will be Birmingham based vocalist Louis Connor.
Connor will perform a soulful blend of some of his favourite jazz and popular songs from throughout the decades.
