Sutton Coldfield Choral Society set to return to the Town Hall!
Originally set to perform in May 2020 for their 50th Anniversary Celebration Concert, Sutton Coldfield Choral Society are due to return to the Town Hall in October 2021 with Haydn: The Creation.
Haydn’s much-loved oratorio, The Creation, marks the 50th anniversary of Sutton Coldfield’s Choral Society. Haydn wrote Creation in his later years following two visits to England where he came into contact with the ever popular oratorios of Handel.
Full of good tunes a with its lively character and dramatic moments, captured so beautifully by the large orchestra, Haydn’s Creation is one of the most popular choral pieces in the repertoire. Join us to enjoy this masterpiece and celebrate 50 years of our local choral society.
